Raman sectroscopy

Ilija spent two weeks at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade (Serbia) in the laboratory for Raman spectroscopy. During his stay, Ilija worked under supervision of dr Božidar Rašković and had possibility to analyze gonadal tissue of carp, zebrafish, trout and African catfish. We would like to thank his host and our good friend and colleague for his hospitality and generous support. We are looking forward to continue our collaboration.

Training in Novi Sad

Timi and Betti spent 2 weeks at the Faculty of Sciences belonging to the University of Novi Sad (Serbia). They had the possibility to learn useful molecular methods in the research group leading by Željko D. Popović. During these two weeks, they gained experiences, amongst others, in DNA and protein isolation, gel electroforesis, PCR, spectrophotometry and detection of antioxidant enzymes. Thanks Željko and Iva for everything, we are looking forward to see you again!

Project meeting in Valencia

In parallel with Jelena and Ilija’s lab work in Valencia Ákos and our colleague Tamás Müller have participated at the second preparatory meeting of the MSCA ITN project EEL-NOW at the Polytecnic University of Valencia in Spain. The meeting was organized by Dr. Juan F. Asturiano and his colleagues. The meeting was attended by colleagues representing various institutions in Germany, Italy, Denmark, the Netherlands, France, Spain and Hungary. We are looking forward to a successful application and keep our fingers crossed.
